Since 2018, SkyMD® has been the steadily growing national telemedicine component of the Compass Biosciences medical group, owned by dermatologist and dermatopathologist, Dr. Antoanella Calame. Her motto, which has become our company’s mantra, is for us to treat all our patients like we would our own family. With our “patient-first” approach, we go the extra mile to make sure you receive the affordable and effective treatment you deserve. SkyMD started out offering only dermatology services via telehealth to its patients, and during the years of COVID, SkyMD began expanding into multiple medical specialties.
Currently, SkyMD offers primary care services such as to address single acute medical issues, which may be of an urgent care nature to the patient, as well as the management of chronic medical issues for those patients needing that level of continual support from their doctor(s). SkyMD’s plans for 2022 and beyond include the addition of more medical specialists, such as pediatrics, psychiatry, urology, gynecology, endocrinology and gastroenterology.

Our Dermatopathologists
Antoanella Calame, MD
is a board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist and the founder of Compass Dermatopathology, Poway Dermatology and SkyMD online dermatology.
She trained under Dr. Clay Cockerell at UT Southwestern.
Dr. Calame is dedicated to the highest level of customer service and quality diagnostic care for her referring dermatologists.
She is available to her clients by cell phone and is very active in the dermatological and dermatopathological communities.
She teaches residents during daily sign out and gives numerous weekly lectures.
Christof Erickson, MD
is a board certified anatomic
and clinical pathologist and a board certified dermatopathologist
who also trained under
Dr. Clay Cockerell at UT Southwestern.
Dr. Erickson served as the Medical Director and staff dermatopathologist
at Dermpath Diagnostics for 8 years before joining
Compass Dermatopathology.
